So you’re headed to a virtual speed networking event. Congratulations! Whether your networking event is held on twine for Zoom or another networking platform, these tips will make sure you’re prepared to make productive connections. 

1. Have a clear understanding of your goals and objectives for the event.

Your conversations will be the most productive if you have a clear definition of what you’d like to get out of the speed networking event. Are you looking for a job? Are you hoping to get feedback on a business idea? Do you just want to get to know others in the industry? Knowing what you want going in will help you direct your conversations in the most effective way.

2. Practice a compelling elevator pitch to introduce yourself or your business.
